One of the greats of Italian music. Died at the age of 55, leaving all of Italy in mourning.

Sarit Hadad (minus the Harpoka) with the voice of Maya Busquila.
And it is no coincidence that Hadad comes to mind - she recorded a Hebrew version of a song by Pausini, who is a mega pop star even outside of Italy, especially in France and the Latin world.
