The DANTE Institute holds cultural events in Hebrew and Italian throughout the year. These events focus on Italian culture in its various aspects in the fields of art, literature, music and cinema, as well as on Italy's geography and history.
In 2026, DANTE will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of filmmaker and writer Giancarlo Ghiddon Zagni with a special and extensive tribute project.
A collaboration between the Jerusalem Cinematheque and DANTE provides a unique benefit for all Italian films and films related to Italian culture. The films included in the benefit are updated monthly on the Cinema page.
Once a year the institute holds a program of in-depth acquaintance with a city or district in Italy. At the end of the program, the participants are invited to go on a study trip to the selected district in an organized tour that combines an introduction to special and lesser-known aspects of the area, along with scenic trips, visits to historical sites, cultural events, and an encounter with customs and traditions that characterize the area.
