Italian for Beginners
Courses for beginners: From the basics up to A1 level
Intended for students without knowledge of the Italian language, who wish to gain a solid foundation in the language.
The course aims at the spoken language, laying down the basics of grammar, reading and writing, and is based on advanced textbooks and incorporates news and video clips.
In the first half of the A1 level, you will learn to introduce yourself and general acquaintance with strangers, exchange phone numbers and emails, book a vacation, start a conversation, introduce another person, personal questions and answer them, professions, express preference and satisfaction and vice versa, order food and drink, ask politely, general communication in a restaurant, talk about hobbies and things you do on a daily basis, tastes and preferences, express agreement and disagreement, ask and answer what time it is, book a hotel room, rent a place to stay, ask for information and answer, complain about something, describe objects in an apartment and more.
In the second part of the course, you will learn greetings, polite words, how to talk about opening hours, a typical day and habits, describe the frequency of an action, describe the belonging of objects, describe a place, ask for information and have an informative conversation, describe a route, tell about past events, talk about vacation, the weather, shopping, common products, ask for a recipe and understand it, talk about family and more.
All lessons - both in-class and on Zoom - are filmed and sent to students for viewing.
